I started to feel that surviving in Perth is easier than my imagination. Perhaps, that the friends were just trying to frighten me with different stories. Up to date, I only found minor problem living these few days, with boredom being the major. Things get easy here all you need is enough cash at hand.
Although I’m just joking sometimes, but I do found that the friends in Malaysia were seriously neglected me. I had come down to Perth alone, live alone, did everything alone. People in Malaysia may find it’s easy when reading my blogs or in phone chat, but it had been hard for me for being lonely. As I said earlier, I had foreseen that the mentality aspect is way harder to survive. But now, I’m proud and glad to say I had gone through this. I made my own life here. I never drip a single drop of tears. Well, I should thank my family for training me to be stronger since young. Also, Thanks to those who gave me learning chance, as well as chance to prove myself. But the hardest part is gone; I’m not blaming anyone, so no hard feelings.
Back to the activities today, I woke up a bit late today so the whole morning wasn’t getting any far from being at home. I decided to walk to west end of Perth today to further survey the area. The time was middle of the noon but I found no sweat. The sun wasn’t that hot and it was windy.
Manning Road, which is one of the main roads in Bentley precinct, was far busier than the road I took to campus every day. Cars were plenty, and of course, pretty cars go nowhere in front of my eyes. They are moving fast, I couldn’t snap them with my mobile phone. CLKs, Commodores, Skylines, Supra, VW Convertible, and even big wheeled Chrysler 300C. Instead, I snapped the scenery.
As you can see, the trees are starting to drop the leaves and getting bold. Leaves started to turn golden. Signs of autumn.

Tuesday is the garbage collection day for this area. Residents have to properly pack the dumps and put them into 2 kinds of trash bins. As you can see from the picture, yellow cap is recyclable and the rest goes into green cap. This is a good system but sadly wouldn’t work in Malaysia. Peoples are either too lazy to manage their rubbish or no awareness of recycling at all.

The junction to Fremantle was situated along the way. I must find some time to visit the beach. I’m not sure the plan work as summer had passed.

As I walked, I passed by an Aborigine School. It looked like a sanctuary for Christians.

I also took the picture of the construction site to check out what is the difference compare to Malaysia. Property job aftermath I suppose.

It took me around 20 minutes of walking to reach the so-called shopping centre, Village Waterford. Crap, it is even smaller than the Tesco in my hometown Puchong. Building design isn’t appealing and it doesn’t even have sharp signage.

The interior was no surprise, few shops inside and a supermarket. The only good thing was I found the long gone coffee shop in K.L.., Gloria Jean’s; and an oriental food bar which I bought myself the Hong Kong style chicken rice for dinner.

My lunch was in Nando’s Restaurant just beside the walkway. The Supreme Steak Roll was so huge compared to Malaysia’s. I can barely hold it with both hands open. It was good anyway, the steak was juicy.

Before I leave, I stopped by the post office to check if I need something. The magazine racks were filled with cars and performance magazine. I bought myself a special issue on Ferrari’s 60th Birthday. I love Ferraris, they are special, and they are red hot prancing horse! But not good for daily driving. Beside the special issue is the chicken rice I bought. Looked nice but tasted lousy.

As usual, I took a walk after dinner. The sky was beautiful by 8pm. Look at the mixtures of colour.

At the end of today, I finally got to know one of my neighbours who are a Singaporean student. It was silly. He was talking loud to his mother on phone at the junction. I heard him inside the house and walked out to know him. We had nice chat and few sticks of cigarette despite the temperature were low and wind was blowing strong. He brought me good news that his friends are moving out from a nice 4-bedrooms house just few blocks away. It’s great and he’s bringing me to view it tomorrow.
Days are gone and schooling days get near. It’s nearly settled for me now except that I have yet to find a new house to move in. I’m really relieve and proud to get all the things at hand. The first stage of personal test is going to be over in Friday. I have confidence that it’s not going anywhere but a success.
